How can much a quartz worktop can cost?
There are multiple elements that can affect the cost of a quartz worktop: price differences between quartz colours and brands, thicknesses, type of edges, finish, and sink inserts and other extras
Quartz colours
The designs or patterns, colours and quartz brand on the material play an important role in determining its price. Some models and colours cost more than others.
Worktop sizes
A worktop can have quite different dimensions from one home to another which result in varying prices. The size of a worktop is a crucial element for prices. We do not calculate prices per square meter, we calculate the cost of each worktop, plus additional cost for manufacture, fitting and other worktop extras.
Worktop thickness
The worktops thickness also impact the final cost of the worktops. Slabs are available in 20 mm and 30 mm thickness, and 12 mm thickness available in quartz some brands. There is a difference in price between 20 mm and 30 mm thickness worktops. Not only the 20 mm thickness slabs are less expensive, the off cuts from the same slab can be used for upstands, window sills and splashbacks also (20mm thickness) which can reduce the cost on labour and material needed to make the worktops and upstands, windowsills or splashbacks
Worktop edge profile
The edge of the can choose from many different styles., The pencil round, chamfer and the mitre edge, are the most in-demand. The pencil round edge and chamfer are the standard edge profiles included in our quotes.
Worktop Splashback
The splashbacks can significantly increase the cost of the worktops, but we always try to use the off cuts from the same slab to reduce the cost in additional slabs adding only the cost for labour and installation.
Installation, fabrication and extras
Installation prices vary according to the installation location and the number of slabs needed to complete the installation. Installing a kitchen worktop from one slab will take less time than fabricating and install a 2 or 3 slab kitchen worktop.
Other worktop extras such as sockets cut out, drainer grooves and many other also can increase slightly the final cost of the worktops.
